What exactly is the SAFE Method, and how is it different from traditional therapy or coaching?
People often wonder how this approach goes beyond talking about trauma. The SAFE Method combines cognitive reprogramming, somatic release, and energetic coherence practices to heal the body and rewire the subconscious simultaneously.
Can this work help if I’ve already done years of therapy but still feel stuck or disconnected?
Yes, the SAFE Method is designed for people who understand their trauma intellectually but still feel it physically or emotionally. It helps move healing from the mind into the body where lasting change occurs.
How does trauma actually affect my body and nervous system?
Trauma changes your actual DNA and biology from hormone regulation to genetic expressions, and can keep your body in defense mode depending on the programming you received. SAFE retrains your nervous system to feel safe again so your body can self-heal and rest in 15-minutes a day.
Is this program just for women, or can men benefit from it too?
While originally designed for high-achieving women, the SAFE Method supports all humans. Men in particular find the framework helpful because it teaches embodied emotional regulation without requiring excessive vulnerability or emotional exposure. It's quick, to-the-point healing that offers a focused target that makes the time required to heal more bearable. Healing still takes time, just as it did to create in the body to begin with.
What results can I expect to see, and how long do they take?
Most clients report improved sleep, calmer emotional responses, and clearer focus within days and weeks. Over time, they experience deeper emotional safety, stronger boundaries, and more connection to themselves and others.
Do I have to relive painful memories for this to work?
You don't have to. SAFE focuses on regulation and pulling the emotions out, not re-traumatization. You’ll learn how to gently notice sensations and emotions without being overwhelmed by them. You will likely however have deep, heavy cries that allows for the emotions to release. Your body is holding the pain and it's begging you to release. This isn't like Exposure Therapy however. Our type of healing comes through presence, not desensitizing to the pain.
What happens in a typical 1:1 session?
Each session works off of the content you find in each week. We target the Mind, Body and Integration in that order for a specific reason. Your sessions will work around the daily work you do as this gives you the ability to go deep and be ready to pull everything out when we meet.
Regardless if you're in person or online, our sessions blend guided somatic exercises, cognitive reframing, and energy alignment practices. You’ll be supported in identifying your patterns, feeling emotions safely, and re-anchoring into calm body awareness.
How does this kind of work affect physical health or chronic symptoms?
When your nervous system regulates, your body stops sending distress signals. Clients often notice relief from fatigue, tension, digestive issues, and chronic pain as their system shifts from survival to safety.
Is there a spiritual or metaphysical component to this work?
While spiritual or religious beliefs and views are not created for that purpose, clients do report having a deeper, more connected relationship with their Higher Power, however the client refers to this Source as. So yes ultimately from what we have witnessed, but in a grounded, science-backed way. The SAFE Method acknowledges that your emotional and physical systems are also energetic. We work with coherence and intention to restore balance across all levels.
What if I’m skeptical about the “energy” or “quantum” part of this?
That’s completely okay. The science behind coherence, HRV, and trauma regulation supports these practices. You don’t have to believe in the metaphysical aspects — your body’s nervous system will respond regardless.
